Purdy's Box

If you live in Canada, you might be familiar with the delicious and decadent Purdy's Chocolates! With their purple and gold branding, I thought that our Gold Mini Pizza Boxes would be perfect to use for either a Purdy's Gift Card or some Purdy's chocolates!

To decorate the box, I used some Brights 6x6 Designer Series Paper and cardstock in Gorgeous Grape. The sentiment, from the Cup of Christmas stamp set, was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink on Whisper White cardstock and die cut using the Ornate Frames dies. I also die cut the sentiment frame out of a Gold Foil Sheet and added a Basic Jewels Rhinestone.

The boxes are foodsafe if you'd like to add some chocolates or treats, or just add some tissue paper and a Purdy's Gift Card!

A perfect little stocking stuffer! Enjoy!

Gift Card Holder

It's blog hop time again! Take a trip around the world with all the talented card designers in Kylie's training program!

Today I am featuring a gift card holder which holds none other than a gift card for Stampin' Up! products from me!

I used the It Starts With Art stamp set and a variety of purple cardstock and ink in Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry! I also used the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder.

There is an extra score line at 2" in order to create the card pocket!

Free Skate Lake

It's a new Stampin' Up! year for Kylie's blog hop and I am thrilled to be participating along with many talented demonstrators from around the world!

My card was created for a Holiday catalogue swap and, believe it or not, I used to be a figure skater back in my teens so I had to have this Free Skate stamp set and dies bundle!

I used Seaside Spray, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock and, with some masking with torn Post-It notes and trees from the new Snow Front stamp set, I created a frozen lake to skate on! Ink colours used were Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray with a touch of Pool Party. The blades were die cut from Silver Foil Sheets.

I added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the lake to make it more "icy". I die cut the sentiment (stamped in Pretty Peacock ink) using the Stitched Nested Labels dies and added some Seaside Spray 1/4" Metallic Ribbon and a Pretty Peacock Rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

Most Wonderful Time

This card is made with the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley, a gorgeous set of coordinating products in the Holiday Catalogue!

All I had to add was some Real Red, Old Olive & Whisper White cardstock and some Gold Foil Sheets. I also used the Subtle and Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folders, and the Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles dies. Everything else was in the kit!

It may be hard to see here but I finished off the tree with some Wink of Stella to add a final touch of glitter!

Framed Frost

It's time again for a fun blog hop featuring products from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Catalogue! Be sure to click on the link below to hop through the posts by many talented stampers!

This card uses the gorgeous Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper and Silver Foil Sheets with a Purple Posy cardstock base. I was cutting some silver frames using the Heirloom Frames dies for another project and was in the midst of tossing the leftover pieces from outside the frames in my trash bin when I thought, "Wait! These skinny frames will look fantastic on the Feels Like Frost DSP!"

The snowflakes were also cut from the Silver Foil using the Frosted Frames dies.

It may be hard to see but I added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the trees for a little bit of glam! Such a simple card! All these products are currently for sale on my website for all you Canadians who don't currently have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!

Enjoy the next blog post by the fabulous Wendy Lee!

Life is a Beautiful Thing

I am so excited and honoured to be participating in Kylie's Top Ten Winners Blog Hop! I want to thank all of you who voted for me earlier in the month!

Today, I'm sharing a card with a fancy fold! I love fancy folds that can still fit in our regular envelopes and this one fits perfectly!

It's a nice surprise when you open the envelope and see this!

Then you turn it around and see this!

You can write your message on the back of the card!

I was inspired by a card made by a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Debbie Freeman. She used the gorgeous Feels Like Frost paper and made a stunning Christmas card! The theme for Kylie's blog hop is encouragement and I thought that Stampin' Up's Colorful Seasons Stamp Set had some beautiful sentiments!

Along with the stamp set, the card is made using Merry Merlot & Whisper White cardstock, Come To Gather Designer Series Paper, Copper Foil Sheets, Frosted Frames dies, and our new Copper Delicata Pigment Ink Pad! You can find all of these items in my online store.

The key to having the card fit in a regular envelope is to trim the cardstock base down from the usual 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" to 8 1/4" x 5 1/2". Then you score at 2" and 3" on each side.

Feels Like Frost - Happy Holidays

It's time again for me to participate in Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop! Be sure to hop on through to see all the wonderful creations from around the world!

My card uses my favourite Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper from the new Holiday Catalogue! I recently learned the pleating technique from the lovely Liz Shannon in the UK and thought that this was the perfect time to try it out! This card is a sneak peek from my upcoming Feels Like Frost card class!

I also used the Frosted Frames die set for the snowflakes and the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set for the sentiment. The cardstock I used is Night of Navy and Seaside Spray. The ribbon is the beautiful Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon - love it!
