Tasteful Touches - Kylie's Top Ten Winners!

I am thrilled to be one of the Top Ten Winners in Kylie's International Highlights! Thanks to all of you who voted for my Smile card which used the Botanical Tags & Garden Gateway Dies.

It is my honour to participate in the Top Ten Winners Blog Hop! I've decided to share a card using some brand new products coming in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue! You will be able to purchase these products on June 3, 2020 or get some of them sooner by joining my Sunset Stampers team now!

This card focuses on the new gorgeous In Good Taste Suite of products and some of the new 2020 - 2022 In Colors, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee!

The bundle I used is called the Tasteful Touches Bundle which includes the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set and the Tasteful Labels Dies. The card base is Crumb Cake layered with Magenta Madness and some of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. The background for these photographs is also from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper! There are several that would make awesome photo backdrops!

I also added a strip of Crumb Cake which was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I used a Sponge Dauber to rub a little Early Espresso Ink onto the piece. I also stamped the textures and sentiment using Early Espresso. I added a piece of the new Faux Suede Trim!

I used a Stitched Rectangle Die for the sentiment and added some of the new 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots in Magenta Madness to finish it off!

For the inside, I stamped the feather in Early Espresso and added a sentiment from the new Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, also coming in the new catty!

Please hop along below to see the gorgeous cards made by the other winners!

West Coast Creators Blog Hop May 2020

I am so excited to participate in this brand new blog hop! We are Canadian demonstrators from the west coast to the east coast! Our focus this month is on retiring or Last Chance Products!

I decided to use one of my new favourite techniques (the Scrappy Strip Technique) as the background for my card featuring the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also used Soft Suede and Terracotta Tile cardstock and the Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set. The roses were fussy cut directly from the paper!

If you look closely, you can see a little of the shiny accents on this gorgeous paper in the pic below!

Don't forget to hop to see the blogs of the talented demonstrators below! Enjoy!

Botanical Tags Thank You & Goodbye

I am thrilled today to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlights with demonstrators from around the world! The theme this month is Thank You. I thought, what better way to say thank you than to send a Smile card?

This card has no stamping on it! Can you believe it? There is some Balmy Blue and Mango Melody ink sponged on the background but the rest of the card is made with diecuts! The Smile sentiment comes from the Share Sunshine Digital Download which can be purchased here:

The dies used are Botanical Tags (retiring), Garden Gateway, Rectangle Stitched Dies and Stitched So Sweetly. The little cat has some basic rhinestones for bling!

If you like my card, please vote for me at  http://bit.ly/KyliesInternationalHighlightsMay2020VoteForMeHere

Thanks!

Tulips for Mom!

I came across a beautiful tulip card by Jay on Mitosu Crafts and just had to use the same colours of Stampin' Blends in creating my own card!

The oval frame might look to be gold but it is actually diecut and embossed using the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folder out of Old Olive foil from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets! I think it paired nicely with the Pretty Peacock Card Stock!

Scrappy Strip Technique

When I saw Bruno Bertucci’s card and video using the Scrappy Strip Technique, I knew I wanted to give it a try with the gorgeous foiled Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper!

The strips are cut with my Stampin’ Trimmer (no measuring) and glued onto a Basic Black cardstock layer which is 5” x 3-3/4”. Then I trimmed off the edges of the DSP and glued it onto another piece of Basic Black which is 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”. I mounted that on a Pretty Peacock card base measuring 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4”. You can use Stampin’ Dimensionals between the layers, if you like.

I finished it off with a sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamped on black in Versamark and heat embossed with white Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I added a Noble Peacock Rhinestone. Enjoy!
