Frosted Forest - Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop - July 2024

Welcome to July's Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! I am hopping with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world! This month, we were inspired to create from this photo and colours.

I chose just two of these colours to use this month...Garden Green and Old Olive. I used the awesome Frosted Forest Bundle along with the Frosted Forest Decorative Masks. The masks are so fun to use to make the tree! I used Pecan Pie, Old Olive and Garden Green inks with the masks, on Basic Beige Cardstock.

The background was embossed with the upcoming Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder, available September 3rd in the September - December 2024 Mini Catalogue. I used a Blending Brush to add some Old Olive ink to the bottom of the piece. Also in that catalogue, you'll find the Natural Tones Linen Thread, in Garden Green, that I used on this card.

The focal piece is matted with Old Olive Cardstock and that is mounted on Season of Green & Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper. That was adhered to a Basic Beige card base. The sentiment was stamped in Garden Green on Old Olive and die cut with Greetings of the Season Dies. I added Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots in Garden Green to finish.

Enjoy hopping!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Welcome to July's Coast to Coast Creators Hop! This month, we are using sketches from page 22 of the Annual Catalogue! I chose to use this sketch:

I thought that this sketch worked well with the Greatest Adventure Stamp Set and the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper!

I used a Boho Blue card base embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. I used a Blending Brush to add a little Balmy Blue ink over the embossing which brought it closer to the sky colour in the cloud paper. I also used Basic Black and Basic White cardstock. The cirlces are cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

The train is stamped with Smoky Slate ink and the circles are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Keeping Tabs Stamp Set. It is stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder using a Heat Tool. I die cut it using the Changing Leaves Dies. I added some white Baker's Twine and Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems to finish.

Sketch Challenge - Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to our June Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! I am hopping with talented demonstrators from all over the world! This month, we were inspired to create from this great sketch!

I never imagined that I'd be making a tomato card! I saw the To Market Designer Series Paper (DSP), covered in tomatoes, and thought about how I could use it for this sketch challenge. I used our 2-3/8" Circle Punch along with a starfish die from our Seaside Wishes Dies. The sentiment, from the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set, was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

Cardstock used was Garden Green and Poppy Parade. I also used the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack (Crumb Cake) and the Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots in Garden Green. I also fussy cut some little tomatoes from DSP with Paper Snips Scissors.

Enjoy Hopping!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Citrus Blooms Bundle

Welcome to June's Coast to Coast Creators Hop! This month, we are using bundles from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue! I chose to use the fabulous Citrus Blooms Bundle along with the coordinating Mediterranean Blooms 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper!

Be sure to hop around below to see the gorgeous projects by my talented colleagues!

I also used the Spotlight on Nature Dies for the lovely Basic White circle, with a Stylish Shapes Garden Green circle underneath. Cardstock colours are Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green and Basic White. The Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. The leaves were die cut in Garden Green with the Citrus Blooms Dies.

I took some white ribbon from the Petal Pink & White 1/4” Diagonal Trim Combo Pack, cut it in half vertically, and pulled it apart to get the white fibres. I love this effect!

The sentiment, from Citrus Blooms, is stamped in Night of Navy ink and I finished with three Daffodil Delight embellishments from the Opal Rounds Assortment.

Enjoy hopping!

AWOW Blog Hop - The Adventures of Benji

Welcome to this month's Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Each month, a group of  demonstrators from all over the world create projects based on that month's theme. You will be able to hop around below to see all the wonderful inspiration!

This month, the theme is The Adventures of Benji!

Benji is a cute little Shih Tzu who lives with my friend, Angie, in Ohio, USA! Angie promised him a trip around the world so he decided to virtually visit me in Hope, British Columbia, Canada!

This is my view from my front deck. Benji was wowed by the beauty of the mountains!

Benji loved the Canada geese with their 9 babies at the marsh! There is a beaver who lives at the marsh, too, but we couldn't find him that day!

The beaver is Canada's national animal and the maple leaf is its symbol (as per the Canadian flag). I live in a small town surrounded by majestic mountains! I used quite a few different Stampin' Up! products on my card! I used the Fluffiest Friends Bundle, Forever Forest Dies, Sending Love Stamp Set, Autumn Leaves Dies, and Alphabet a La Mode Dies!

Colours used were Pool Party, Basic Black, Basic White and Real Red. I coloured the beaver using Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Real Red Blends. The embellishments are the Adhesive-Backed Dots For Days. Complete instructions and supplies can be found in the Printable PDF Tutorial below.

Please enjoy hopping around below and you can click on the daisy to go to the next blog post by my very talented colleague, Bree Renwick!
