Around the Bend Online Class!

 

Kim Kroeker and I are very excited to bring you a new online event, our Around the Bend Class! Join us at 10:00 am PST on Sunday, April 2^nd to make 6 cards with this AWESOME bundle!  There will be LIVE sessions between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm PST (including 6 project presentations, some info on current promotions, and prize draws) which you can watch from anywhere in Canada (see Choice #3 below for non-Canadian residents).

To participate in our class sessions, you will need inks, adhesives, a paper trimmer and a die cutting machine such as our Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

Included are:

6 card kits including all cardstock, Designer Series Paper, embellishments, envelopes, and any die cuts not included in the Around the Bend Bundle

-        Membership to an exclusive Facebook group

-        6 LIVE video presentations - these will be recorded so you can watch again and again

Coast to Coast Blog Hop - Loveliest Layers Masks

 

Welcome to February's Blog Hop! This month's theme is the January - April 2023 Mini Catalogue. I chose to feature the Loveliest Layers Decorative Masks (p.62). Be sure to hop around below to the blog posts of my talented teammates!

There are 4 masks used to make the flower and leaves. I started with the full flower mask and, with a Blending Brush, I added Highland Heather ink to a layer of Basic White cardstock. I then used the other flower mask and added Gorgeous Grape ink. The leaves were done in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves and adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals on a layer that had been embossed with the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment (from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set) was stamped in Garden Green on a strip of Granny Apple Green.

I placed an Iridescent Pastel Gem on the flower. I adhered this layer to Gorgeous Grape and then to a Granny Apple Green card base.

This is another card using the same masks. Colours used were Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Garden Green and Granny Apple Green. I also added some Garden Green twine from the Three Twine Combo Pack.

Kylie's Winners Hop - Share a Milkshake

Many thanks to all of you who voted my Lighting the Way card into the Top Ten in Kylie's International Blog Highlights! I tied for 7th place! Now I have the privilege of participating in the Winners Hop!

Today, I'm sharing a gift card holder made with the Share a Milkshake Bundle. This would be great to give someone special as a Thank You, maybe with a Dairy Queen gift card or any other gift card!

The card base is Fresh Freesia cut at 11" x 4 1/4" and scored at 2" and 5 1/2". The 2" panel is folded inward to form the gift card pocket. All the patterned paper comes from the Dandy Designs 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper which is a free (with $120 purchase) Sale-a-bration item until Feb 28, 2023 or while supplies last!

All the die cut pieces came from the Share a Milkshake Dies and the Stylish Shapes Dies. Cardstock colours used were Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Basic White and Petal Pink. I used a Blending Brush to add a little Mango Melody ink to the cone. 

The glimmer strip and hearts are cut from Fine Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper in Fresh Freesia. The spoon is cut from Silver Foil Specialty Paper.

Lighting the Way - Kylie's International Highlights

It has been a while since I've participated in Kylie's International Blog Highlights! I created this card for a swap and thought it was perfect for our "thank you" theme! I used products from our brand new Lighting the Way Bundle in the January - April 2023 Mini Catalogue!

I just love the large lantern die in this set and the easy-to-piece-together firefly dies!

The card base is Polished Pink and I added a touch of Fine Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper in Gold on the sides. The front panel is stamped on Shimmery White cardstock (the small fireflies in Memento Tuxedo Black and the light of the lantern in Mango Melody) and matted on Basic Black. I added some Polished Pink and Mango Melody ink with our Blending Brushes, and some Tuxedo Black with a Sponge Dauber.

The firefly was cut from Basic Black, Vellum and Crushed Curry Cardstock, glued together and finished with Wink of Stella on the wings and on the Crushed Curry bottom.

The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Basic White. I tied a piece of black twine at the top of the lantern (from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack).

I finished with some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels!
