Love Moon

For Valentine's Day, I wanted to create a scenic card but with a Valentine's Day theme. Hence, my "Love Moon" card!

Start with a Melon Mambo card base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4". Cut a Night of Navy layer, 5 1/8" x 3 7/8" and a Shimmery White layer 5" x 3 3/4". You will also need a Night of Navy piece cut at 3 1/2" x 1" for the sentiment, and another about 2" x 4" for die cutting the tree. For the inside of the card, cut a Whisper White layer 5 1/4" x 4".

Using a Sponge Brayer and Melon Mambo ink, brayer from the bottom to the top of the Shimmery White layer, staying darker at the bottom and leaving a little white for about half an inch at the top. Using the smooth-edged Heart Punch, punch a heart out of a Post-It note, with the top at the sticky end of the note. Place the heart at the top (lighter end) of the Shimmery White layer.

Using another Sponge Brayer, brayer Night of Navy ink from the top of the card, getting lighter towards the middle of the card, going right over the heart. Once you have enough ink, remove the heart mask.

Using the single tree stamp from Mountain Air, stamp several trees in Night of Navy ink across the bottom of the card at different heights, some full strength and some stamped off once. If you like, you can also use the double tree stamp for some of the trees. Using a Sponge Dauber, sponge some Night of Navy ink along the bottom of the card layer. Die cut a large tree out of Night of Navy cardstock using the Majestic Mountain Dies and glue to the left side of the card layer. Adhere this layer to the Night of Navy layer and then to the Melon Mambo card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Heart To Heart stamp set in Versamark ink on the small Night of Navy piece. Cover with White Emboss Powder and heat with the Heat Tool. Banner the left side with the Tailored Tag Punch and adhere to the bottom right side of the Shimmery White layer with Stampin' Dimensionals. Add 3 Rhinestones in the sky.
