Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - New "In Colors"

Welcome to our monthly hop! This month's theme is the brand new "In Colors" from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue! I love ALL of the new colours which are Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky. For this project, I decided to focus on the gorgeous Orchid Oasis!

When you're feeling a little under the weather or just stressed out from life, what could be better than receiving this little care package from a friend? I used products from the new Tea Boutique Suite Collection (item 158670 on pg 12/13 of the catalogue). The card base and envelope came from the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes. The envelope is already decorated for you! To make the pocket, I just cut off a 5 1/5" x 2" piece from the Orchid Oasis side of the card base and glued it down on the white inside edge of the card (see photos). I added a 5 1/4" x 2" piece of the Tea Boutique 6x6 Designer Series Paper and then some Tear & Tape on the sides to form the pocket! Be sure to put one of the tea bags in place before you stick the sides down so that you have enough space inside. I added a 5 1/2" x 1/2" piece of Fresh Freesia DSP to the edge of the pocket.

I stamped the little tag on Basic White cardstock in Orchid Oasis ink (full strength) for the outline and Blackberry Bliss (stamped off once). I die cut it with the tag from the Teacup Dies. The tea cup pieces were die cut using Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis cardstock. The tag was attached to the teacup with a 2" piece of Orchid Oasis/White twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack. I used Tear & Tape to adhere it. I die cut the little hearts from Blackberry Bliss.

The sentiment was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink on Basic White and then cut with the largest banner from our new Stylish Shapes Dies (a must-have!). I first ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the sentiment towards the left of the die, and then again with the sentiment towards the right of the die. This allowed me to make the banner shorter! I attached the teacup and banner with Stampin' Dimensionals and the little hearts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I finished off by adding some Wink of Stella to the hearts. The teabags were purchased from Amazon and the tea is wonderful!

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Retiring "In Colors"

Welcome to our March blog hop! Our theme this month is the retiring 2020-2022 "In Colors". I decided to focus on Misty Moonlight, which I'll be sad to see gone! I paired it with Night of Navy for a nice, monochromatic effect!

The bundle I used is Blessings of Home from pages 59/60 of the January-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. The Misty Moonlight DSP is from the Heart & Home 12"x12" Designer Series Paper, and the Basic White layer was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.

The flowers were stamped in Night of Navy and then I moved some of the ink around with a Blender Pen. It's a great way to colour in the flowers very easily! I topped the flowers with white Classic Matte Dots. The layers are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment, also from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set, was stamped in Versamark ink on Night of Navy and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

Enjoy hopping around to see the blog posts of my talented colleagues!

Kylie's Winners Hop - Waves of the Ocean

I am so excited to be participating in Kylie's Winners Hop this month! Thank you so much to all of you who voted for my Half Star Illusion Card and helped me to win first place!

My card for this hop will give you a sneak peek of a new collection coming in March called the Waves of the Ocean Collection! I am in love with it! I've also combined it with three other products, the To The Moon Stamp Set, A Good Man Stamp Set and the Sailboat Builder Punch!

I started with Shimmery White Cardstock and stamped the moon in Smoky Slate. I also stamped the waves in Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I covered the moon with a Post-It Note mask cut with our Layering Circles Dies. Using Blending Brushes, I blended Fresh Freesia and Misty Moonlight inks in the sky and ocean, and splattered Wink of Stella over everything except the moon. I matted the piece with Basic Black and adhered it to a Fresh Freesia card base.

The sentiment, from A Good Man Stamp Set, is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. The label comes from the Waves Dies and I added a strip of Silver foil from the Blues Foil Specialty Paper, included in the collection.

The sailboat was punched out of Basic Black, glued together and topped with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel. I attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Butterflies Mask

Hello, Everyone! This month's blog hop theme is to use products from the January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue! I used the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks in a previous post with the gorgeous flowers. After seeing Liz Yuille in the UK do a heat embossed butterfly with these masks, I had to try it!

This card also uses some free Sale-a-Bration items - the Simply Marbleous Designer Series Paper and the Special Moments Stamp Set!

I sponged Versamark Ink through the large butterfly opening, covered it with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder and embossed it with my Heat Tool. Once it cooled a bit, I put the second mask over the black butterfly, sponged again with Versamark and then heat embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. I love the shiny effect!

Cardstock used was Basic Black and Basic Gray. The Basic Gray mat was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the butterfly and adhered him to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from Special Moments, was heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I added Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon for some extra bling!

Be sure to hop around to the blogs of my talented West Coast Creators teammates!

New Horizons Half Star - Kylie's International Highlights

I am so happy to be participating in Kylie's International Blog Highlights this month! Our theme is "thank you" and I decided to use products from our gorgeous New Horizons Suite!

I used the On the Horizon Bundle (stamp set & dies) on this card, using an Evening Evergreen base. Don't you love those fence/gate dies? I added some Old Olive grass behind the fence and some Pebbles Enamel Shapes at the bottom.

I thought that a "half star" fun fold card would highlight our beautiful New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and give a 3D effect to the scene! The whole card actually fits into one of our standard medium envelopes!

I added some colour and texture to the tree die with Fresh Freesia and Bumblebee Cardstock and the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The Evening Evergreen strip under the trees is embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is heat embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder and attached with cardstock "hinges".

I hope you enjoyed my card! Please vote for your 5 favourite cards by clicking on the link below!
