Fitting Florets Blog Hop

Welcome to an awesome international blog hop hosted by Bruno & Kylie Bertucci of Australia!
The whole Fitting Florets Collection is available to customers from November 1st to January 3rd, or while supplies last!

I chose to use the Framed Florets Bundle (stamp set and dies) and was thrilled that there are ovals in the die set! I used Balmy Blue cardstock as my base and for the oval frames. I used Basic White stamped with Balmy Blue in the center oval. The bundle will be available to customers on Nov 1st and will carry over into the Jan-June 2023 Mini Catalogue! However, the gorgeous Fitting Florets 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls, and the Framed & Festive Stamp Set will only be available until January 3rd or while supplies last!

I used the dies to cut these great leaves out of our Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack and I finished with silver pearls from our Festive Pearls embellishments.

Coast to Coast Creators Hop - Joyful Flurry

Welcome to this month's blog hop! Our theme this month is Christmas! Be sure to click below to hop around to the blogs of my talented colleagues!

I decided to make a simple card using the Joyful Flurry Bundle as well as Texture Chic 12 x 12 Specialty Designer Series Paper. This is my favourite DSP in the annual catalogue - gorgeous designs and colours with gold foil accents! The card base is Pool Party Cardstock with snowflakes stamped in the same colour. The DSP piece was matted with Basic White.

The 3 snowflakes were die cut in Basic White using the Frosted Flurry Dies. I topped them with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The sentiment was stamped in Gray Granite Ink on Basic White and die cut using the larger label in the Frosted Flurry Dies.

Enjoy the Blog Hop!

Coast to Coast Creators Hop - Colour Challenge!

Welcome to our September blog hop! This month, we did a colour challenge! The colours we were to use in our cards are Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze! Such great fall colours! I chose to use the Perched in a Tree Bundle for my fall-themed card!

I decided to use Blackberry Bliss for my card base and sentiment. To make the background (on Shimmery White Cardstock), I cut a moon mask with our Stampin' Up! Masking Paper and the 3rd smallest Layering Circles die. I then used Blending Brushes to add Blackberry Bliss Ink and Cajun Craze Ink. I removed the mask and added a little more Blackberry Bliss Ink to the moon.

I cut the large Aspen Trees die out of Basic Black and glued this onto the scene layer. I cut two small leaves from Rose Gold Foil, poked a hole in them and threaded Linen Thread through them. I then wrapped the Linen Thread around the card layer a few times and taped it on the back. I added this layer to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. I cut it with the largest Stylish Shapes label die and adhered it with Dimensionals.

Please enjoy hopping to the blogs of my talented teammates!

Snowman Magic Scenic Card

I used the Snowman Magic Bundle for this winter scene card but there is not a snowman in sight!

I've created a YouTube video to walk you through the steps but I've provided the measurements and product list below.

The front of the card was too pretty to cover with a sentiment so I stamped it inside! This wonderful sentiment comes from the Snowman Magic stamp set.

I used the Snowman Dies for the main scene but also used a die from the Gingerbread House Dies for the snow bank at the bottom. The Basic White frame comes from the Fabulous Frames Dies!

Measurements:

Orchid Oasis Cardstock

8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

Basic White Cardstock:

4" x 5 1/4" (3 of these)

3 1/4" x 1 1/4"

Snowflake Specialty Vellum

3" x 4"

Silver Foil

3" x 2 1/2"

Masking Paper

1 1/4" x 1 1/4"

Coast to Coast Creators Hop - Boughs of Holly Half Rosette

Welcome to our August blog hop! We are using products from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalogue today and I chose to highlight the Boughs of Holly Suite as well as a really cool half rosette technique!

The card base is Evening Evergreen with a Real Red layer. The half rosette was made by scoring a 3 1/2" x 12" strip of Boughs of Holly 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper at 1/4" inch intervals and then accordion folding it. The frame is cut from our Distressed Gold 12" x 12" Specialty Paper using our Fabulous Frames Dies (which really are fabulous!). I also cut a Real Red Frame for more support for the Distressed Gold frame. They were glued together and mounted with Foam Adhesive Strips. The inside of the Real Red frame was used as the base for the rosette. I glued the rosette on the base and then cut around the base with Paper Snips.

The Real Red circle was cut with our Stylish Shapes Dies (2nd largest circle). The berries are from the Textural Elements wood pieces, coloured with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I added some Wink of Stella to the berries. The Glimmer paper sprigs in Evening Evergreen were cut using the Holly Berry Dies.

The sentiment is from the Leaves of Holly stamp set and is stamped in Real Red and cut out with the Stylish Shapes Dies banner. Be sure to hop over to my talented colleagues' blogs to see more projects using the Mini Catalogue products!

Coast to Coast Creators Hop - Sale-A-Bration!

Welcome to our July blog hop! We are in the middle of Sale-A-Bration (SAB)! Until August 31, 2022, you can get SAB items FREE with your purchase! Be sure to check out my teammates' blogs below to see more SAB products!

I decided to use the Silver & Gold 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper on page 10 of the SAB Brochure. I had a "happy accident" where I, with the intent to purchase our regular medium sized envelopes, purchased 6 packages of the 3x3 envelopes instead! I thought I would cut the 6x6 paper into 3x3 pieces and use them to make mini cards!

Once I cut the 4 different designs down to 3x3, I used Blending Brushes to colour them with our new "In Color" inks! I chose Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky, Tahitian Tide and Parakeet Party inks. The cool thing is that the ink does not stick to the foil patterns, just to the white part of the paper! I used a paper towel to wipe off any excess ink sitting on top of the foil.

I also cut 3 1/4" by 1 1/2" pieces so that I could decorate the flap of the envelopes, too!

My card bases were 6" x 3" Basic White, scored at 3". The inked pieces fit perfectly on the card fronts. I used the fabulous Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out frames from our Gold Foil and Silver Foil, and to cut circles from Basic White and Vellum cardstock. The sentiment is from our Ringed With Nature stamp set and stamped in Starry Sky on all four cards. I glued the square frames to the card front and glued the circles together. I then used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the circles to the card. These are fun and easy to make!
