Floral Essence Beautiful Days

Once again, I am honoured to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's blog hop with demonstrators from around the world!

I didn't realize how much I liked purple until I realized that I've been using it a lot in my cards lately! This card is made using the new Floral Essence Bundle from the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue!

The colours I used are Purple Posy and Blackberry Bliss with a peek of Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. The leaves are in Old Olive and punched with the Leaf Punch. The flower was stamped twice in Blackberry Bliss Ink onto Purple Posy Cardstock and I used a Blender Pen to pull the ink into the flower. I punched the flowers out using the Perennial Flower Punch, trimmed them with Snips and adhered each to another layer punched out of Blackberry Bliss. I curved the petals with my Bone Folder and layered the two pieces. I put a touch of Wink of Stella in the center of the flower.

You will love these products which are all part of the Perennial Essence Suite!

Sailing Home

My favourite suite in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue is the Come Sail Away Suite! Living in Vancouver, British Columbia, I often see sailboats and lighthouses when I’m on the ocean.  I love seeing them even though I’m not a sailor myself!

I made this card for a recent swap. It features the Sailing Home Bundle, Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and Highland Heather/Balmy Blue/Night of Navy Inks. I used a foam brayer to create the sky and ocean along with a Post-It Note mask.

To colour the sailboats, I just stamped them in Night of Navy and used a Blender Pen to bring the colour into the sails and ocean!

Sunset Sailboats

Once again, I am thrilled to be participating in this international blog hop! Be sure to click on the blog links below to hop around and see some incredible projects from Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all over the world!

Sunset & sailboats using the silicone craft sheet reflection technique!
For a FREE PDF of the instructions, click on Print Recipe below.

Start with a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Position it on the Stamparatus and place your sailboat stamp where you want your sailboat reflections to be. They should be closer to the left since you will want the finished reflections closer to the right. Remove the cardstock and put a Silicone Craft Sheet in the Stamparatus. Ink up the stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black and stamp onto the silicone sheet. Then carefully put your cardstock face down over top and close the plate. Stamp the sailboats again on a scrap of Whisper White, not using the silicone sheet this time.
Using sponge brayers, brayer Mango Melody ink on the top of the cardstock, moving downward and on the bottom, moving upward. Brayer some Poppy Parade ink lightly in the middle. Place a Post-It Note over the sailboat reflections, about 1/4" above them. Brayer some more Poppy Parade ink more strongly along the edge of the Post-It Note to create the horizon. Move the Post-It Note to cover the deep red section and stamp the waves from High Tide in Balmy Blue.

Die cut the sailboats from the scrap and colour them in with Blends. Colour the reflections to match. Stamp the sentiment in the bottom left corner. Die cut the sun from Mango Melody cardstock. Adhere the sailboats above the reflection and the sun in the top left using Stampin' Dimensionals. Add 3 Basic Rhinestone Jewels. Adhere to a Basic Black mat and Poppy Parade card base.

Succulent Spring Birthday

I was honoured to be asked to join the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop with many talented stampers from all over the world! This month's theme is Birthdays. I hope you enjoy hopping around from blog to blog!

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 3-3/4" x 5", randomly stamp the succulent plant/flower in both Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow inks.
Cut a 5" piece of the Silver Metallic-Edge 3/8" ribbon and colour it with a Mossy Meadow light Blends pen. Wrap it around the stamped cardstock piece about 1-1/2" from the top and adhere at the back. Adhere the cardstock to a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock.

Stamp the sentiment from Birthday Cheer in Versamark ink, cover with White Emboss powder and heat using the Heat Tool. Die cut using the Wonderful Floral Framelits oval or substitute another oval if you like (Wonderful Floral Framelits are no longer available to purchase). Mount the oval over the ribbon using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere the piece to a Blackberry Bliss card base measuring 5-1/2" x 11", scored at 4-1/4".
