Sketch Challenge - Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to our March Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop! I am hopping with talented demonstrators from all over the world! This month, we were inspired to create from this great sketch!

I chose to use one of my favourite new suites, the Botanical Textures Suite Collection.
Cardstock colours are Early Espresso, Pecan Pie and Basic Beige. I also used Linen Thread and Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots.

I used 3 different stamp sets - Textured Notes, Kiss of Texture and Simply Said. The Designer Series Paper is Woven Textures. The squares and banner are all cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies. I used the "kissing" technique on the upper and lower squares, first inking the solid square stamp in Pecan Pie. Then I inked the wood grain pattern in Early Espresso and kissed the two stamps together to transfer the wood grain to the solid square stamp.

Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Colour Challenge

Welcome to our March Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop! This month we had a Colour Challenge inspired by this pic!

I chose to use the You Are Remarkable Stamp Set with the Beautiful Bokeh 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper!

I started with a Thick Basic White card base and adhered the DSP. The Basic White and Balmy Blue layers are die cut with the Textured Notes Dies. I stamped the flower in Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I filled in the flower with a white Watercolor Pencil and then went over the stem and leaves with an Old Olive pencil, and the flower centre with a Daffodil Delight pencil and a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I adhered the Balmy Blue layer to the Basic White layer and then wrapped some Balmy Blue twine (from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack) around the two layers. I added a double bow with a Mini Glue Dot and adhered the layers to the card front.

The sentiment, from the Year of Flowers Stamp Set, was stamped in Balmy Blue and die cut with a Stylish Shapes banner die. I added some Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to finish.

Please enjoy hopping around below to see the projects created by my talented teammates!

AWOW Blog Hop - Monochrome Colour Challenge

Welcome to this month's Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Each month, demonstrators from all over the world create projects based on that month's theme. You will be able to hop around below to see all the wonderful inspiration!

This month, our theme is a Monochrome Colour Challenge! I chose two colours next to each other on Stampin' Up!'s Color Coach, Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon.

I used my favourite new suite in the new Online Exclusives, the Botanical Textures Suite Collection.
I started with a Basic Black card base. All the DSP I used on this card was black & white from the Botanical Textures 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper. I added the Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon colours with ink and Blending Brushes!

The Lost Lagoon circle (2nd largest Stylish Shapes Dies circle) was embossed with the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, also part of this suite! The center circle was stamped in Pretty Peacock on Basic White using the Textured Notes Stamp Set and punched with a 2" Circle Punch. I added some Lost Lagoon ink with a Blending Brush. I made a double bow with Linen Thread and coloured it with Pretty Peacock Blends. The sentiment, from the Spring Corners Stamp Set, was stamped in Versamark on Pretty Peacock, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and cut with a Stylish Shapes Dies banner. I added some Lost Lagoon gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.

This is another card that I'd done earlier using this same suite with brown & beige!
