Coast to Coast Creators Blog Hop - Celebrate the Season

Welcome to November's blog hop! Our theme this month is "Celebrate the Season" and I chose to use this beautiful Night of Navy and Gold colour combo. Be sure to hop around below to see the projects made by my talented teammates!

The card base and envelope came from the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes, already pre-decorated with the gorgeous gold foil!

The ornament came from the Handcrafted Elements Dies and was cut in Night of Navy and Gold Foil. I topped it with a bow made from the Simply Elegant Trim in gold.

The card base was wrapped with Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon. The sentiment, from the Joy To You Stamp Set, was stamped in Night of Navy ink on a Basic White label from the Something Fancy Dies.

AWOW Blog Hop - Colour Challenge

Welcome to this month's Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop! Each month, a group of demonstrators from all over the world create projects based on that month's theme. You will be able to hop around below to see all the wonderful inspiration!

This month, the theme is a Colour Challenge using the beautiful fall colours in this photo of Paris!

When I go for my morning walks in the fall, I LOVE seeing the fall coloured trees against the blue sky on a sunny day! I thought I would try to recreate that colour combo! I knew I wanted to use Azure Afternoon cardstock to capture the colour of the sky but knew I couldn't just stamp on it with fall colours as the ink would not be very vibrant on the bright blue. Shimmery White Embossing paste to the rescue!

I mixed the white paste with 3 different ink refills, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Garden Green. Using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, I spread the embossing paste over the leaves to create this awesome look right on the Azure Afternoon cardstock layer! The photo really doesn't do it justice as the leaves are very bright and sparkly!

The card base is Azure Afternoon and the mat is Copper Clay. I also stamped the sentiment from Happy Labels in Versamark and heat embossed it with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder from the Metallics collection. I cut the circle with the Stylish Shapes 3rd smallest circle die.

I took the copper ribbon from the Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack, cut it in half lengthwise, pulled out some fibers and wrapped them around my fingers to create the look under the circle label.
