Kylie's Winners Hop - Boho Indigo Gold!

Hi Folks! I want to thank all of you who voted for my Blossoms Card and put me in first place in Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlights contest! I am sincerely honoured to be among all the talented winners! Be sure to follow the links below to check out their beautiful creations!

I wanted to try out the Gold Cards & Envelopes coming up in the August - December 2020 Mini Catalogue! I thought that the Boho Indigo Product Medley paired nicely with them!

The cards already have that gold trim printed on them and don't you love those solid gold envelopes?

I added a Night of Navy cardstock layer and added strips of the Boho Indigo Designer Series Paper. The set also comes with the stamps and dies to make the vase, sentiment and leaves (cut from gold foil), and it also comes with a ribbon combo which includes this beautiful gold ruched ribbon!

My favourite part was making the vase. I stamped the vase on Very Vanilla cardstock in Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Then I took some Night of Navy ink and a sponge and the magic happened! It's so cool to see the design pop out of the clear embossing! You just wipe off the excess ink (which is resisted by the embossing) with a paper towel (hence the name emboss-resist technique)!

Enjoy hopping to the other winners' blogs!

WCC Blog Hop - Beautiful World

I'm so happy to be participating in the West Coast Creators Blog Hop for July! This month's theme is the new In Colors - 5 brand new colours that came out in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue!
For my card today, I decided to focus on two of the new colours, Misty Moonlight and Cinnamon Cider!

I was inspired by a swap card I received from Ange McKay and decided to put my own spin on it! I used the fabulous new World of Good Suite of products, including the Beautiful World Stamp Set, World Map Dies, World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper and Brass Foil Sheets.

To give a bit of an "Old World" feel, I tore the edges of the sentiment piece and sponged some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on the edges. The sentiment was stamped on Cinnamon Cider cardstock in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

Graduation Whale

I am, once again, thrilled to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's blog hop with demonstrators from around the world!

My son's girlfriend, Jordy, recently graduated from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada with a degree in Environmental Studies. We are all so proud of her!

I decided to use the Whale of a Time Suite of products to create this cute little graduating whale!

I punched the whale out of the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper (DSP) and I added a little cap and diploma. The cap was cut with the help of the Tailored Tag Punch and I added some twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo pack. The whale was mounted on more of the DSP.
Cardstock used was Pretty Peacock, Bermuda Bay, Basic Black and Whisper White. I also use the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder and the gorgeous Pool Party Sheer Ribbon.
The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White in Pretty Peacock Ink and diecut with the Stitched Shapes Dies.

Blossoms in Bloom

It's time once again to ask you to vote for my card in Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Highlights!

Today, I'm sharing a card done with the new Blossoms in Bloom Bundle available in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue! I uses the Many Layered Blossoms Dies for this card along with the sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set.

One thing I love doing is experimenting with sponging different colours of ink onto coloured cardstock to see the different colours I can achieve! Here, I've used a sponge dauber to sponge Magenta Madness ink onto Mango Melody cardstock. It comes out as a beautiful tangerine colour! The cardbase and the top layer of diecut is Basic Black. The diecuts are layered onto Basic Gray cardstock.

The ribbon is the 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.
