Delicate Forest - Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop - Jan 2024

I am so pleased to be participating in the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for January with a Colour Inspiration Challenge! Be sure to hop along with the list below to see the gorgeous projects from my talented colleagues!

This beautiful photo was our inspiration for this Colour Challenge.

It was the first 3 colours that grabbed my attention. They are some of my favourites for creating sunsets! I decided to use a fun technique on my new Glass Mat. I started by colouring strips directly on the Glass Mat, in a rectangle shape which matches the size of my Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper layer. I used Stampin' Write Markers in Poppy Parade, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. The grid lines in the mat made it really easy!

I then used a Stampin' Spritzer to spray water on the coloured rectangle.

Next came the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper which I pressed into the ink.

I used a Heat Tool to dry the layer and then attached it to a Basic Black mat.

I also die cut several pieces in Basic Black from the Delicate Forest Dies and attached them to the coloured layer.

I wrapped black twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack around the layer, crossing in front and attaching it on the back. The sentiment, from the Delicate Forest Stamp Set, is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. I adhered it over the twine with Black Stampin' Dimensionals.

I attached the layer to a Melon Mambo card base and added a Basic White insert. I finished the card with 3 of the 2022-2024 In Color Pearls.
