New Horizons Half Star - Kylie's International Highlights

 

I am so happy to be participating in Kylie's International Blog Highlights this month! Our theme is "thank you" and I decided to use products from our gorgeous New Horizons Suite!

I used the On the Horizon Bundle (stamp set & dies) on this card, using an Evening Evergreen base. Don't you love those fence/gate dies? I added some Old Olive grass behind the fence and some Pebbles Enamel Shapes at the bottom.

I thought that a "half star" fun fold card would highlight our beautiful New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and give a 3D effect to the scene! The whole card actually fits into one of our standard medium envelopes!

I added some colour and texture to the tree die with Fresh Freesia and Bumblebee Cardstock and the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. The Evening Evergreen strip under the trees is embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.

The sentiment is heat embossed in White Stampin' Emboss Powder and attached with cardstock "hinges".

Kylie's Winners Hop - Layering Masks!

 

I am thrilled to be participating in Kylie's Winners Hop with the Top Ten Winners from her International Highlights contest! Thank you so much to those who voted for me! Please check out the blogs of my talented fellow winners below!

When I first tried the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, I was blown away with the results! On this card, I used a Sponge Dauber with Balmy Blue ink on the first layer of flowers and then Highland Heather on the second layer. It is so exciting to pull the mask away and see the gorgeous flowers underneath! There is another mask with leaves that fit perfectly around the flowers and I sponged those in Granny Apple Green. I then fussy cut the flowers and leaves, leaving about 1/16" of white around the edges.

The Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (free Sale-a-Bration item!) makes a perfect backdrop for these flowers along with a Highland Heather card base and mat cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The mat was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

I topped the flowers with Pastel Pearls. The sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green from the free Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Special Moments. The sentiment label is from the Hippo & Friends Dies, one of my favourite die sets for labels!

I just HAD to immediately try this with different ink colours! I used the same layout with the Simply Marbleous DSP and embossed mat to create 3 more cards!

The next one is sponged in Fresh Freesia and Gorgeous Grape with a Gorgeous Grape mat embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. It has a Granny Apple Green card base.

This next card would be a wonderful wedding card! It's sponged in Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo. The label is die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies and the sentiment comes from the Celebrating You stamp set. This mat is Flirty Flamingo embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder and the card base is Blushing Bride.

The next card was sponged in Mango Melody and Poppy Parade! So bright and cheery! The mat and base are Poppy Parade. The mat was embossed with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Awesome Otters Valentine

 

It's Blog Hop time! Our theme this month is Sale-a-Bration! Check out all the FREE Sale-a-Bration items used in the gorgeous cards of my talented West Coast Creators teammates!

My card uses 2 Sale-a-Bration items - the Awesome Otters stamp set and the beautiful Simply Marbleous 6”x6” Designer Series Paper! I decided that I would do a Valentine's Day card with the little otter holding a fish. My husband, Mike, LOVES fishing so this is perfect for him!

The card base is Real Red and I also used Basic Black and Basic White, cutting them with the Layering Circles Dies. The hearts and tag are cut with the Sweet Hearts Dies from the Sweet Conversations Bundle in the new January - June 2022 Mini Catalogue!

This adorable otter and the sentiment are from the Awesome Otters stamp set. I coloured the otter and fish with Smoky Slate and Real Red Blends. I finished off the hearts with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The black & white twine comes from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. I tied it onto the tag in a heart shape, securing it with a Mini Glue Dot. I stamped inside the card in Real Red using stamps from the Sweet Conversations stamp set.

Paradise Palms - Kylie's International Highlights

I always love using our Blending Brushes to create sunsets! When I saw the new Palm Dies in the Paradise Palms Bundle, I had to create this card! It uses one of my favourite colour combos - Gorgeous Grape, Poppy Parade and Mango Melody. I also used the Stitched Rectangles to create the Basic Black frame and I used the Bark 3D Embossing Folder on the Gorgeous Grape layer.

I glued the bottom of the trees down but used Black Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the palm branches of the trees. The Thanks sentiment is from the Special Moments Sale-a-Bration stamp set which you can get for FREE with a $120 order from January 4 - February 28, 2022! I heat embossed the sentiment with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool.

I finished it off with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels!
