West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Whimsical Trees Gift Card Holder

Welcome to our December Blog Hop! This month's theme is Gift Card Holders, just in time for Christmas! Be sure to hop around to the blogs of my talented teammates below!

Sometimes, I like to use the actual gift card as inspiration for my gift card holder. I have this beautiful gift card from Bed Bath & Beyond!

I decided to use the retiring Whimsical Trees bundle with the gorgeous Christmas Trees Dies. The base is a 3” x 11” piece of Thick Basic White, scored at 2-1/4” and 7-1/4”. I also cut two pieces of Shimmery White Cardstock, 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" and 2-3/4" x 2". I used the Detailed Trio punch to round the corners, as shown. I used Blending Brushes to create the background with Pool Party, Pacific Point and Night of Navy inks.

The tree and tiny stars were die cut using the Christmas Trees Dies and Supple Shimmer 12x12 Specialty Paper, an upcoming product in the January to June 2022 Mini Catalogue, available January 4th! The star topping the tree was punched with the Starlit Punch. The tinsel on the tree was die cut in Basic White and highlighted with Wink of Stella.

The Joy sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. The inside sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy.
The tree was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Frosted Gingerbread

Welcome to our Christmas-themed blog hop! Be sure to hop around to my talented teammates' blogs below!

For this delicious card, I used the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle as well as the What’s Cooking Bundle for the lifter die cut from our Silver Foil Specialty Pack. The card base is Real Red and I added a Basic White layer. I then added 3 strips of the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

The cookies are die cut from our Kraft Paper, and the icing in Basic White. I used a sponge dauber to add some Crumb Cake ink to the edges of my cookies to give them a browned look.

I added some Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon and Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a finishing touch!

I must admit that my card made me hungry for gingerbread cookies once I finished it! Haha!

Enjoy the rest of the blog hop!

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Eden's Garden Triple W Fold

It's time once again for our monthly blog hop! This month's theme is Fancy Fold cards and I chose to do a Triple W Fold card which I recently learned from the lovely Liz Shannon in the UK!

This card also gives you a preview of the Eden’s Garden Collection which will be available from November 2, 2021 through January 3, 2022. Notice the gorgeous gold foil accents in the Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper!

This card will collapse to fit in a regular sized envelope!

There is space on the back of the card to write your greeting and you can decorate the back with stamps and DSP too!

The Eden’s Garden Stamp Set is a Distinktive set which gives the look of real foliage! I stamped in Soft Succulent ink. The card base is Evening Evergreen.

"Hello" was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink and the foliage in Soft Succulent. I added a Gilded Gem embellishment. The collection does come with Eden Dies, Garden Gems and Ever Eden Cotton Paper which I did not use on this card. Order quickly on November 2nd as some of the collection will be while supplies last!

Here is another Triple W Fold card I did for my September Club Class with the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper!

Time of Giving

This card uses the same background as my Frightfully Cute Halloween card in my previous post! Instead of a witch, I used the Giving Gifts dies to make Santa and his reindeer!

The die cut has a frame which I removed and I added an extra reindeer! The card base is Early Espresso and I used the gorgeous Be Dazzling 6x6 Specialty Paper, available only during Sale-a-Bration, as a mat.

The trees are from the Evergreen Elegance stamp set. The greeting is from the Time of Giving stamp set and is heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss powder! Instructions on the moon and Blending Brush background are on my previous post below!

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Frightfully Cute

I am so happy to be participating in this month's Halloween-themed blog hop with the talented West Coast Creators! Be sure to check out their blogs by clicking on the links below!

I was inspired by a photo card of a full moon taken on Vancouver Island. It had an unusual mix of grays and browns. I had to buy it for inspiration! For the background (on Basic White), using a 1 1/2" Circle Post-It mask, I used our Blending Brushes with the following ink pads: Smoky Slate, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Fresh Freesia, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Tuxedo Black. This was mounted on a Crumb Cake layer.

The main stamp set is Frightfully Cute and I heat embossed the witch and bats with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. The trees from the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set were stamped in Tuxedo Black.

I used my favourite Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon as a finishing touch before adhering the Crumb Cake layer to the Basic Black card base.

Enjoy and don't forget to check out the projects by my talented fellow demonstrators!

Tribute to Uncle Jimmy

I am honoured to be participating in Bruno & Kylie’s blog hop this month and to share a Thank You card I made for a special occasion.

I made this card to thank the Royal Canadian Legion for hosting 15 members of my family on our pilgrimage to Port Alice, British Columbia, last week. The maple leaf and poppy are part of their emblem.

My uncle, James John Eccles, was a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He died on Feb 4, 1944, during WWII, when he crashed his plane in Port Alice. He was only 21 years of age.

We decided to take his two surviving sisters, my mom and aunt, to see the memorial erected in his honour. It was a long trip for the two elderly ladies but they both thought it was so special!

I used the Gorgeous Leaves and Peaceful Moments bundles. They were perfect for this card!

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Penguin Playmates

I'm excited that this month's blog hop theme is Sale-a-Bration! I chose to use the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper which you can get FREE with a $60 order during Sale-a-Bration! Sale-a-Bration runs to Sept 30, 2021 while supplies last!

This paper actually coordinates with the Penguin Place Bundle on page 33 of the July-Dec 2021 Mini Catalogue, but I decided to pair it with Polar Bear Dies from the Arctic Bears Bundle! Cardstock colours are Misty Moonlight and Basic White. The white mat is embossed with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. The background is done with Blending Brushes and Pool Party. Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight inks.

The snowman and bear are fussy cut out of the DSP and the white pieces are cut using the icicles and ice from the Polar Bears Dies.

The sentiment is from Arctic Bears and is stamped in black on Fresh Freesia. I topped it off with silver embellishments from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials and our new White Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

Please enjoy hopping to the blogs of my talented friends below!

Peaceful Cabin Corner Tuck - Kylie's International Highlights

I'm so happy to be participating in Kylie's International Highlights this month with demonstrators from all over the world! Our theme is thank you cards. Please have a look at all of the wonderful cards and vote for your top 5!

On my card today, I've used the Peaceful Cabin Bundle on page 38 of the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue. I decided to make it a fall sunset card!

You might not recognize the Designer Series Paper that I used. Both sheets are black & white patterns from the Pattern Party 12x12 DSP in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue (page 171) that you can get free with Host Rewards!
I used Stampin' Blends to colour in the leaves!

This is a Corner Tuck Fun Fold card. The front focal piece tucks into the triangle. The inside has an area to write or stamp your greeting.

The card base is Poppy Parade and the cabin was cut in Basic Black using the Cabin Dies.

I used Blending Brushes to blend Poppy Parade, Crushed Curry and Granny Apple Green inks on Basic White before adhering the cabin. I coloured in the cabin cutouts with Stampin Blends. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Granny Apple Green. Enjoy!

Peaceful Place - Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

I'm thrilled to be participating in this month's blog hop which will give you a sneak preview of products from the upcoming July-December 2021 Mini Catalogue which will be released on August 3rd! Be sure to follow along with the link below to see the projects of the many talented demonstrators participating in this hop!

My card today uses mostly products from the Peaceful Place suite which has gorgeous products in shades of black, white and gray. I'm in love!

The card base is Basic Gray with a layer of Basic Black. The snowflake paper comes from the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper. It's hard to see in the photo but there are silver foil accents on the paper!

The trees were cut using a die from the Cabin Dies set, out of our new Snowy White 12" x 12" Velvet Sheets! The velvet is perfect for snow! I topped each tree with a silver sequin from the Subtle Shimmer Sequins included with the suite.

The suite comes with some gorgeous White Glittered Organdy Ribbon but I chose to use another new ribbon, the Black & White Gingham Ribbon, that also coordinates with one of our new Halloween suites!

I finished off the card with a sentiment from the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set, stamped on Basic Black in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

Enjoy the hop! Next up is an awesome project from the talented Melissa Seplowitz!

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Bloom Where You're Planted

It's time for our monthly blog hop! Have you taken advantage of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) Sale this month? I decided to showcase the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP which is included in the 15% off sale through July 31, 2021!

The card base is Just Jade and the DSP is matted on Evening Evergreen. This DSP coordinates with the Plentiful Plants stamp set but the only stamp I used was for the sentiment! The dies in this bundle actually cut out some of the images in the paper so I used the dies to cut out the plant and pot!

To give the images some stability so that I could pop them up with Dimensionals, I also cut the shapes in Basic White Thick cardstock and glued them to the back of the DSP shapes.

To help the plant stand out, I cut out some circles using the Layering Circles Dies, and I embossed the Evening Evergreen circle with the Tasteful Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with White Emboss Powder. I added 3 sequins for a little bling.

Please enjoy hopping to the blogs of my fellow talented demonstrators below!

West Coast Creators Blog Hop - Hats Off

I'm excited to be participating in our West Coast Creators team blog hop! This month's theme is masculine cards and I have a special one to share with you!

My husband, Mike, works as a Fish Biologist for the BC provincial government and his favourite pastime is, of course, fishing! His favourite place to go fishing is Hope, BC. I created this card with him and the beautiful trees of Hope in mind!

This card uses the Hats Off bundle from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue (pg 47) and the Evergreen Elegance Stamp Set (pg 91). I used two of the new In-Colors, Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent, as well as Smoky Slate for the hat and fish.

Using Soft Succulent ink, I stamped the tall thin tree from Evergreen Elegance all over the Soft Succulent background, sometimes full strength and sometimes stamped off once or twice, giving the illusion of trees in the mist. I then stamped the same tree in Evening Evergreen ink towards the bottom, making them look closer. I adhered that layer to an Evening Evergreen layer and wrapped it in Linen Thread.
The sentiment, from Hats Off was stamped in Versamark ink on Evening Evergreen and heat embossed with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and a Heat Tool. I bannered the right side with our Tailored Tag Punch and glued it to the left side. All was mounted on an Evening Evergreen card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Enjoy visiting the blogs of some very talented West Coast Creators!
