Forever Fern - Kylie’s Top Ten Winners!

I am honoured to be chosen as #2 in Kylie’s International Highlights! Thank you soooo much to all of you who voted for me!

Those of us in the Top Ten have the honour of participating in Kylie's Top Ten Winners Blog Hop! I've chosen to share with you a tried and true technique that I learned a few years ago. I recently saw a card from a fellow demonstrator, Lisa Althouse, where she used this particular colour combo that I love! The stamp set is Forever Fern from the new Forever Greenery Suite of gorgeous products in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue!

The really fun part of creating this card was using Stampin' Write Markers to scribble all over a Clear Block (size E). The colours I used were Terracotta Tile, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I then spritzed the block with water and pressed it onto Shimmer Paper, using a paper towel to mop up any excess water after I lifted the block. So much fun!

I stamped the leaves and sentiment from Forever Fern in Soft Suede ink and layered it onto Soft Suede and a Bumblebee card base. The ribbon is from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and I finished it off with Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Please continue hopping to see the amazing creations by Kylie Bertucci and the other winners!

Drybrush, or Is It?

WEST COAST CREATORS
BLOG HOP!
Welcome to the West Coast Creators June Blog Hop! This month, our focus is on the brand new 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue!

Today, I'd like to show you some cards made with two fun new stamp sets,
Drybrush and Massive Thanks!

The Drybrush background stamp makes it look like you've dragged some ink pads across your cardstock but all you do is add ink to the stamp and stamp it! You can use all one colour or multiples like I've shown here. I'm using the brand new In Colors!

On this card, I used Misty Moonlight and Just Jade ink stamped on Whisper White and the same coloured cardstock, along with some Just Jade 1/4" Ribbon. The buckles are from the Antiqued Corners & Slides embellishments.

I love these sentiments from the new Massive Thanks Stamp Set!

This card is the same except that I used Magenta Madness & Bumblebee ink and cardstock with Bumblebee ribbon. I actually stamped it twice and didn't line it up the second time but it worked out nicely! I learned that I get the best results using a Stamparatus so that I can stamp in the same place more than once!

Enjoy experimenting with different colours!

Flowers For Every Season Spanner Card

Once again, I'm excited to be participating in Kylie Bertucci's International Stampin' Up! Blog Highlights with demonstrators from around the world! The theme this month is Thank You. I decided to share a Spanner Card that I made with some of the brand new products from Stampin' Up!'s 2020 - 2021 Annual Catalogue!

It's hard to believe that there is no stamping on this card! It is made completely with paper and diecuts!

The rose was fussy cut from the sheet of Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper shown below. The rose in the bottom left corner is the one I cut out for the card. I first cut around it and then glued it onto a piece of Whisper White Thick cardstock to make it more sturdy before fussy cutting it.

The blue patterned paper is from the same set. The vellum and Whisper White leaves were cut using the new Forever Flourishing Dies. The card base is Bumblebee cardstock.

To make the Spanner design, I cut the front of the card at 1.25" from both sides, The spanner is cut from vellum and glued to each of the side pieces. I cut the diecut from Detailed Bands Dies.

The centre piece is Misty Moonlight cardstock embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders.

The inside is decorated with two pieces of the yellow rose paper that the large rose was cut from.

The rose and Whisper White leaves are attached to the right side spanner piece.
The sentiment is cut from a Brass Foil Sheet using a die from the Well Written Dies. The card was finished off with some Gilded Gems.
